Man Cannot Live On Bat Detectors Alone...Can he?
Intro To Lightning Detectors
The past year and a half have been pretty slow, and rather uneventful here. Aside from the new SongMeter SM4BAT FS from Wildlife Acoustics, I haven't had the opportunity to review many bat detectors.
So, I'm trying to start a brand-new Blog, patterned after this original detector review blog; to help get the word out about the latest lightning detectors and especially, lightning radar systems currently offered. Other topics will be covered, but lightning sensors available to the hobbyist will be the main focus.
I wonder if you might be interested, in having a look at my (new) blog:
If you are at all interested in:
- Electronics, Arduinos
- Listening to longwave, Aeronautical beacons
I've probably jumped in a bit soon, since there isn't too much of anything to see there so far. There's still so much to do, but I thought I ought to work on letting folks know about it (first).
I'm in Bronx, NY - Lightning detecting will be a challenge here, due to the increased EMI & RFI of a semi-urban environment. if I can, I'd like to prove that even those of us living in non-rural areas may successfully set-up a system.
Kind regards,Al Milano
